On successful completion of your Student Officer Development Programme, all Probationary Constables will be awarded with an Advanced Diploma in Policing.
Graduate Level Award: During your probation you will also follow a new and enhanced Probationary Officer Development Programme. The programme will be jointly delivered with Ulster University and will lead to the award of a BSc (Hons) Policing and Criminology (Applied Practice) for undergraduate applicants or a Graduate Certificate in Policing and Criminology (Applied Practice) for those applicants who already hold an honours degree (all honours degrees will be reviewed for eligibility on commencement of Student Officer Training).
You may also be eligible to apply for a Fast Track Programme, providing you are signed out of probation at programme start date. This is a development programme and promotion mechanism to enable the most talented to advance to the rank of Inspector in 2 years
